Toddler activities are awesome, educational and fun for all involved (yes, even for
grown-ups!). With simple materials (and sometimes no materials at all),
you can keep your toddler and yourself busy, happy, engaged, learning, talking, laughing, playing for surprising lengths of time. Turn your activities with your toddler into family fun time whenever you can for even more fun, learning and bonding.
Quality time with toddlers doesn't always have to take a special time slot. Some you can integrate into daily chores or routines like cleaning the kitchen or bath time.
And if simple isn't always enough, you can just build on the simple ideas to get more creative - the sky is truly the limit. Your toddler activities can be as detailed and sophisticated as you and your toddler want.
Throughout, make sure to keep an open mind. As a grown-up, it's easy to get hung up on how an activity was "meant to work". Follow your children's lead. You might be amazed at what they come up with using materials you prepared for another activity, or what materials they request to give an activity a whole new spin. No matter exactly how it pans out, you all will reap the full benefits and more of spending quality time together.
